What will the United Nations do now?, Re: Hamas slams UN over aid deliveries, Al Jazeera English Website, July 24, 2010

Saturday, July 24th, 2010

Hamas has accused the United Nations of collaborating with Israel because it has asked groups sending aid to Gaza to send it by land instead of by sea. The rationale is transparent. It has everything to do with Israel’s naval blockade and nothing to do with aid reaching Gaza. Ships trying to break the blockade are stopped and inspected before being allowed to proceed. Every time that happens Hamas has an opportunity to try and take political advantage of the situation. Aid coming in by land doesn’t afford it the same opportunities at all.

Palestinians are the second largest per capita recipients of foreign aid in the last decade. Approximately ten billion dollars worth has been sent to them during that time. Virtually all of it arrived by land. Will Hamas accuse the donors of collaborating with Israel and refuse to accept it? It would be the principled thing to do but since Hamas has never allowed principles to get in the way of politics and expediency it’s obviously not going to happen. Even browbeaten and cowed Palestinians wouldn’t put up with that. Talk about a lack of gratitude and exposing themselves for the hypocrites they are…with one hand Hamas accepts billions in aid and with the other it wants to control the means of transmission for it’s own nefarious political purposes.

The United Nations is without doubt an extremely anti-Israeli organization and always has been. For it to be accused of collaborating with Israel is beyond laughable. What will it do to refute the allegation, to regain it’s standing in the Islamic world so to speak? Time will tell, but whatever it is Hamas will try to use it to it’s own advanage just like it does  everything else, truth be damned.

Islam in New York City, Chapter Two, Re: The real issue in mosque debate, New York Post, July 21, 2010

Friday, July 23rd, 2010

Construction of a giant mosque overlooking the site of the destroyed World Trade Center in New York City is being proposed. The proposed mosque is 13 stories tall, would cost one hundred million dollars to build and would be called Cordoba House. If construction is allowed to go ahead it’s opening date would be September 11, 2011, the tenth anniversary of the worst mass murder in American history when thousands of innocent people were killed by Muslims acting in the name of Islam. The mosque and the opening date constitute a deliberate insult to the memory of those who died and a warning to freedom loving people everywhere.

There are many reasons why a mosque should not be constructed within sight of the World Trade Center killing ground, the most important having to do with the main factor motivating those who want to put it there to begin with. The name of the new mosque is a dead giveaway, even for those with only a passing interest in Islam. Cordoba in Spain was the capital city of Muslim conquerors who celebrated their victory over Spanish Christians by turning a church there into one of the largest mosque complexes in the world. Cordoba symbolizes conquest in the Islamic mantra.

Islam is in fact a religion of conquest and violence which has no tolerance or respect for people of other faiths and creeds, especially Christians and Jews, especially Americans and Israelis. It’s purpose is to subdue unbelievers and force them to live under Islamic law, sharia. That is precisely it’s aim in the United States and the rest of the Western world and a mosque at Ground Zero would help it do exactly that. It would move Islamization in the U.S. and elsewhere forward by leaps and bounds.

Muslims consider conquered territory and people to be forever under the sway of Islam and they can never be seen as anything else. Placing a mosque so close to the World Trade Center, particularly a megamosque like the one being proposed, would enable them to see New York as conquered territory and view it as a bridgehead leading to the subjugation of the entire United States as well. Mosques are symbols of triumph and conquest and individual churches, synagogues, temples and shrines have been converted to them throughout Islamic history, if they haven’t been destroyed that is. Putting a megamosque two blocks away from the spot where Islam’s adherents murdered three thousand Americans and other infidels…in America’s most prominent city and one with a very large Jewish population no less…literally and metaphorically you can’t send a clearer message than that.

Of course New Yorkers, Americans, can send a clear message of  their own by preventing the mosque from being constructed. They would be saying that they are not willing to accept the erosion of their values and way of life, that Islamization will be fought and that America is not an Islamic nation and won’t become one. They would be telling the mosque’s proponents that New Yorkers, Americans, live in a free, democratic, secular society, have no wish to live under an Islamic regimen and will not allow that to happen.

Chapter one was the destruction of the World Trade Center and the deaths it caused. Chapter two is the current battle being fought over the construction of Cordoba House and the Islamization of America. Chapter three is yet to be written but there are encouraging signs for those who love freedom. Americans may be beginning to wake up and recognize the true nature of Islam and the serious threat it poses to them. Will they open their eyes in time and keep Islam from taking over the country-that’s the real issue.

Here’s hoping the opposition prevails and the mosque never gets built.

Nothing to debate, Re: Debating An Israeli-Led Attack On Iran, National Post, July 20, 2010

Tuesday, July 20th, 2010

There is nothing to debate. Israel has no choice. Israelis have to attack and destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities as a matter of national survival. There is no doubt whatsoever that Iran will attack Israel with nuclear weapons as soon as it can in an attempt to wipe it off the map, to remove it from the face of the earth. A preemptive strike is the only way to prevent this and Israelis will have to carry it out themselves because the United States under President Obama doesn’t have the sense, foresight or enlightened self-interest to launch an attack of it’s own.

Kill or be killed. That’s reality, like it or not. Iran and Islam are to blame, not Israel. That too is reality.

Be careful Canada, Re: It’s a crime to be a woman in Iran, Toronto Globe & Mail, July 17, 2010

Sunday, July 18th, 2010

Canadians better be careful or it will become a crime to be a woman in Canada as well. Sharia came close to being implemented not all that long ago, honor killings are becoming part of the landscape, more and more immigrants with their misogynistic attitudes are arriving from Muslim countries every day, accommodations in the name of multiculturalism, political correctness and cultural relativism are regularly being made (at the expense of civil liberties and basic freedoms I might add), moral equivalencies are a plague and Islam has taken root in many parts of the land, especially the big cities. None of this bodes well for Canadian women. If Islam becomes prevalent and sharia becomes law their lives will be diminished beyond belief. Make no mistake, there are many people in Canada who would like to bring both about and are working very hard to do so.

Be careful Canada, very careful. Domination and conquest are Islamic imperatives and it’s not far-fetched at all.

No surprise at all, Re: Arabs reject unconditional talks, Al Jazeera English Website, July 17, 2010

Sunday, July 18th, 2010

Of course they have. The last thing Arabs want is peace with Israel. They don’t want that at all…if they did they could have had it eons ago.

What they really want is to remove Israel from the face of the earth, to wipe it off the map. To destroy it.

Denying that is denying reality. And history and religion too.

That’s why there’s no peace in the Middle East, nothing more.

Hold the Arabs to account, not the Israelis.

Can she really do that?, Re: Clinton heads to Afghanistan, Washington Times, July 17, 2010

Sunday, July 18th, 2010

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is on her way to Afghanistan hoping to refine the goals of the war there.

This is typical of the Obama administration. If the goals of a particular project haven’t been met and aren’t going to be met standard procedure is to blame somebody else (George Bush, Hamid Karzai, Stanley McChrystal or a myriad of others in Afghanistan’s case) and/or change the goals. Obama and his minion Clinton are doing both in this instance.

Preventing terrorist attacks on the American homeland was the original reason the United States went into Afghanistan. Fighting terrorists there so that they wouldn’t have to be fought in America was talked about time and time again as the rationale for sending troops.

That goal has not been met, nor will it no matter how many troops are sent or how long the U.S. stays. Obama’s feckless, reckless and non-sensical domestic and foreign policies guarantee more and more attacks on American soil and Clinton has played a leading role in bringing them about.

Rumors are circulating in Washington that Clinton is considering challenging Obama for the Democratic Party Presidential nomination in 2012. If she is serious about mounting a challenge she should resign as Secretary of State, leave the administration, divorce herself from Obama’s policies and way of doing things and go on the offensive against him. Obama is among the most unpopular Presidents in American history and there is every indication his approval ratings will continue to plummet before the next election. The longer she stays with him the more she jeopardizes her own political ambitions because being tainted and tarred with the same brush is inevitable.

Don’t take him seriously, Re: Castro warns of nuclear war in Middle East, Turkish Weekly, July 17, 2010

Saturday, July 17th, 2010

Castro is just making mischief in order to maintain his bona fides as a despotic anti-American, anti-Israel zealot. Nuclear war is not going to happen in the Middle East because Iran is not going to become a nuclear power. Israel won’t let that occur. Israelis will attack and destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities before Iran can develop nuclear weapons, thereby preventing nuclear war in the region.

If Iran did possess nuclear weapons there is no doubt she would attack Israel with them, in which case Israelis would have to respond in kind. That’s nuclear war. A preemptive strike by Israel in order to keep nuclear weapons out of Iran’s hands isn’t. That’s preventing nuclear war and that is what’s going to happen in due course. Israel has to keep Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons for reasons of national survival, military means are the only way to accomplish that and the United States under President Obama doesn’t have the will or foresight to do the job itself.

When Israelis wipe out Iran’s nuclear development program nuclear war in the Middle East will be averted, for which everyone will owe Israel a huge amount of gratitude. Even Castro and Obama.

Burqa Bans and Creeping Islamization in Canada, Re: Under a veil of prejudice, Toronto Globe & Mail, July 16, 2010

Saturday, July 17th, 2010

Burqas aren’t being banned in Canada, notwithstanding the hysterical pronouncements of those who would convince others that they are. Veiling one’s face while giving or receiving public services is being banned, nothing more. It is perfectly permissible to wear a full burqa while walking down a Canadian street for example. It is not permissible to wear a full burqa if a woman is teaching in a public school or testifying in court or if she has to show her face to be photographed for a passport or driver’s license or other such scenarios. Those are very different things. None of these restrictions have anything to do with prejudice, regardless of what the so called victims say.

This is not the same as the situation in Europe where several countries have passed all encompassing bans and others are considering doing the same. Creeping Islamization has been a serious problem there for a long time and burqa bans are one manifestation of a long overdue backlash, others being the Swiss voting to ban the construction of minarets on mosques and Geert Wilder’s Freedom Party winning twenty four seats and coming in third in last month’s general elections in Holland.

Creeping Islamization is a serious problem in Canada too and hopefully a backlash will happen there as well once Canadians wake up and see how much it truly threatens their values and way of life. The end result of creeping Islamization is the implementation of sharia law and Canada becoming an Islamic nation as opposed to a free, democratic, secular, Western one. This would happen bit by bit over time until the country is changed irrevocably. Canadians would be well advised to open their eyes and stop it from proceeding further than it already has.

Now. While they still can.

Push the Palestinians please, Re: Ashton to begin Middle East visit, Jerusalem Post, July 16, 2010

Friday, July 16th, 2010

The European Union’s foreign policy chief will begin a visit to the Middle East shortly. Catherine Ashton will try to get stalled peace talks started and encourage Israel to ease it’s blockade of Gaza. She is going to meet with Mahmoud Abbas and Salam Fayyad, the Palestinian President and Premier respectively, and would be wise to emphasize some home truths when she does so.

Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s Prime Minister, is more than willing to begin direct peace talks at any time and has left no doubt about this in numerous public pronouncements. It is the Palestinians who are unwilling to seriously discuss peace…they are the ones who keep throwing up roadblocks and preventing meaningful talks from taking place, not the Israelis. Ashton should make this point very strongly in her discussions with Abbas and Fayyad. Israel doesn’t need to be persuaded to come to the table and talk about peace. They do. The Israelis are already there and have been waiting for the Palestinians to get serious and show up for what seems like eons.

She should also tell the Palestinians that Israelis cannot significantly ease the blockade as long as a state of war exists between them. Easing the blockade to any great degree and other such measures would lead to more and more attacks on Israelis and jeopardize Israel’s national security. She should make it clear that the onus is on them…make peace and Palestinian lives will improve exponentially. Keep on making war and the blockade, the wall, the checkpoints and all the other defenses will remain in place. Of necessity.

Home truths all.

Blame Islam, Not Israel, July 14, 2010

Wednesday, July 14th, 2010

Here are some questions for those who think Israel is responsible for the conflict in the Middle East.

Why isn’t there peace in the Middle East? Why aren’t Israelis allowed to live in peace and security on what amounts to a small sliver of land in the midst of vast Arab territories? Why is the threat of war in the region omnipresent? Why has there been so much bloodshed since Israel came into existence in 1948, and before as Arabs tried to prevent the Jewish state from taking root? Why are Israelis demonized, villified and hated by their neighbors? Why are the prospects for peace in the region virtually nil? What is the real root cause of the conflict?

The answer to all of these questions is Islam. The conflict in the Middle East has nothing to do with territory as such or other ancillary issues like settlements either. They are all red herrings and false assertions, every single one of them. The conflict has everything to do with religion and one group of people’s attitude and behavior towards another based on their scriptures and beliefs, nothing more. Islam doesn’t want to make peace with Israel, it wants to wipe it off the map, to remove it from the face of the earth. Nothing else will suffice. It is a mistake to believe that concessions or compromises on Israel’s part will lead to peace as that is patently not the case. Islam will not permit it.

Islam is a violent religion consumed with contempt and hatred for Jews. This contempt and hatred dates from it’s earliest days and is entrenched in it’s doctrines and teachings. It is directed at Israel in this day and age since Israel is a Jewish country. Islam by definition cannot accept the presence of a Jewish state in the Middle East and killing it trumps everything, including peace and prosperity for Palestinians.

That is why the answer to all of the questions in the first paragraph is Islam. Nothing will change in the Middle East until Islam itself changes and since that hasn’t happened in 1400 odd years there is no reason to feel optimistic at all. Without change, Israelis will continue to be surrounded by millions of people whose aim is to eradicate them and who will take every opportunity to do so. The rest of the world will continue to be threatened and held hostage by this madness as well.

What else does all of this mean for Israel, besides also having to cope with  the never-ending blind, visceral hatred, prejudice and virulent anti-Semitism sent it’s way every day by Islam’s followers?

It means that it must maintain a strong, powerful military and use it ruthlessly as the need arises. It means that it’s fate must always be in it’s own hands and that it should not and cannot depend on anyone else for it’s own survival, especially given the transitory nature of political involvements. It means that it can’t let it’s guard down for one minute. It means that it can never lose a war because if it does it will cease to exist. It means that blockades, security walls, checkpoints and other devices will have to be used to keep the Islamic barbarians at bay.

It means that Israel will have to attack and destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities as a matter of national survival, the United States under President Obama being too feckless to launch an attack of it’s own, even though keeping Iran from becoming a nuclear power is most assuredly in America’s best interests as well and only military means can accomplish this.

Upset about the situation? Blame Islam, not Israel.
