Liar, liar pants on fire, Re: PA continues to deny Israel’s right to exist, Palestinian Media Watch, May 31, 2011

Tuesday, May 31st, 2011

Liar, liar pants on fire is a phrase that children scream at people who are lying to them. The Palestinian Authority is made up of delusional, inveterate liars and everyone who supports Israel and is truly interested in seeing her survive and prosper and in peace in the Middle East should shout this phrase at the PA as loudly as they can, children and adults alike.

The Palestinian Authority has been lying to the West since its inception. Hamas at least openly denies Israel’s legitimacy and right to exist in both English and Arabic whereas the PA says one thing in English and the exact opposite in Arabic…in English it professes to recognize Israel’s legitimacy and right to exist whereas in Arabic it totally denies both. That’s lying, pure and simple.

This lying is rooted in Palestinian’s and the rest of the Arab/Islamic world’s hatred and disgust of Jews and Israelis and is sanctioned by the Islamic precepts of Taqiyya and Kitman, both of which are based on verses from the Koran which encourage and permit Muslims to deceive others for a greater purpose, the purpose in this case being to wipe Israel off the map, to remove the country from the face of the earth.

Taqiyya, Kitman and Palestinian’s well documented track record of constantly spouting lies and falsehoods in pursuit of this purpose make it impossible to believe anything they say, especially since virtually all of the time they are contradicting established historical facts and a historical record which is beyond dispute. We believe them at our peril and to our discredit, at our peril because believing them and thereby enabling them to wallow in their own bilge and carry out their nefarious, inhuman actions brings bloodshed, war, destruction and death to the Middle East and beyond and to our discredit because even a cursory example of their claims exposes them for the liars they are.

Every time the Palestinian Authority says anything at all about Israel, Israelis, Jews, peace in the Middle East, the history of the region or anything related everyone shout ‘liar, liar pants on fire’ because lying is exactly what it will be doing. What it has always done for that matter.

Trustworthy, reliable, honest? Partners for peace? People who are interested in their own state next to a safe, secure Israel? Democrats? Plutocrats? Rational, civilized, compassionate human beings? The Palestinian Authority and Palestinians in general are none of those things and the sooner we recognize and understand this and make our recognition and understanding clear to all concerned the better off everyone will be, including of course Palestinians themselves.

Why? Because change can’t come without honesty, that’s why and without change on their part we’re all doomed to more bloodshed and war, war and bloodshed, death and destruction, destruction and death.

Kudos for Harper and Kudos for Canada, Re: Canada’s Harper Stands Up for Israel at G-8, Commentary Magazine, May 27, 2011

Saturday, May 28th, 2011

Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper took a very principled stand on Israel and the conflict between Israelis and Palestinians at the 2011 G-8 conference in France this week, a stand which should make Canadians proud because Canada alone among the G-8 nations supported a key Western ally and refused to be bamboozled and bullied into agreeing to an untenable and unsupportable United States position on peace talks between the two. Untenable and unsupportable to anyone who is committed to Israel’s survival and interested in real peace in the Middle East that is.

Harper made it very clear that Canada supported a return to the negotiating table by the two parties and also made it clear that a return to 1967 lines should not be a starting point for the negotiations. This was in direct contravention to President Obama’s position that the 1967 lines should be the starting point for negotiations as expressed in a speech he gave last week and a clear endorsement of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s rejection of Obama’s position on national security grounds in a follow-up response. Obama and the Americans pushed very hard to get the G-8 to endorse his position but failed in their efforts. The final communique of the conference endorsed a re-opening of negotiations but there was no mention at all about the 1967 lines as a result of Harper’s insistence that it be kept out…the G-8 would have included it but it didn’t appear because of Harper and only because of Harper.

The Canadian Prime Minister exhibited a great deal of political courage by standing up to Obama’s nonsensical, politically expedient position and should be congratulated for doing so. Among other things, the final communique was a stinging rejection of an American position that was clearly ill-conceived, not grounded in reality, had no chance of success and was an obvious impediment to peace. It was also a firm rejection of the Palestinian’s attempt to avoid peace talks altogether by seeking a United Nations resolution endorsing statehood for themselves, an attempt which no Western government wants them to make.

Kudos for Harper and Kudos for Canada. Despite the short term political price that may be paid it was the right thing to do, practically, morally and ethically and marginally enhanced the prospects of Palestinians coming to their senses, putting their affairs in order and becoming a true ‘partner for peace’. President Obama’s position would have done none of that and would in fact have had the opposite effect.

Pause, Reflect, Act, Re: Afghanistan: Another 8 US Soldiers Killed in Jihad Attacks, Atlas Shrugs, May 27, 2011

Friday, May 27th, 2011

On this Memorial Day weekend in the United States Americans should pause to honor the brave men and women of the Armed Forces who are fighting and dying to protect freedom and the American way of life in Afghanistan, Iraq and other places around the world. They should also reflect on what and who America’s real enemies are.

There are really only two answers to that…Islam and all those who enable it to further its raison d’etre of conquering the United States and the West, establishing a worldwide Islamic Caliphate and imposing Islamic Law, Sharia, on everyone. Among others, that includes Jihadists, so-called religious figures, businessmen and women, academics, ‘ordinary citizens’, leftists and Western politicians who are furthering its rise in their home countries and around the world, such as President Obama.

Don’t think Islam is the mortal enemy of America and the West? Take some time and do some independent, honest, unbiased, objective, serious research into it and its 1400 year history of conquest and oppression and you’ll come to a much different realization. Hell, just open your eyes and look around. The United States and the West are under attack in the name of Islam everywhere and Western freedom, democracy, values and institutions are being threatened wherever they exist, including the U.S. itself.

Don’t think President Obama is furthering the rise of Islam in America and around the world? Ignore the sycophants, apologists and ignoramuses who turned him into a media darling and examine his actual record since he came into office. Islam is in a much stronger position vis a’ vis the United States and the West since he was elected and is growing stronger day by day, in large part because he has fostered its spread in any number of ways and done nothing substantial to deter and prevent atrocities and potential calamities such as nuclear war in the Middle East. Talk about letting the genie out of the bottle…that’s exactly what he has done.

Pause and reflect. And then do everything you can to keep him from getting re-elected in 2012. That would be the best way to pay tribute to the men and women of the Armed Forces and defend our freedom and way of life at the same time.

Note to Obama: your responsibility is to America and Americans first and foremost, Re: Obama: U.S.,U.K. Share ‘responsibility’, Washington Times, May 25, 2011

Thursday, May 26th, 2011

In a speech to the Parliament of Great Britain yesterday President Obama said that the United States and United Kingdom are the “fundamental forces pushing the rest of the globe toward democracy and open economies” and that the two countries bear a heavy responsibility to keep on doing so, particularly in the Middle East but everywhere else as well.

Leaving aside the facts that democracy is being seriously threatened and eroded in the United States and that fundamental American freedoms (press, religion, assembly, expression, everything) are under attack throughout the country by followers of Islam and that the American economy has become much more top down, controlled and less open since he took office Obama obviously needs to be reminded that in the end as President he really has one responsibility and one responsibility only…to defend, protect and advance the interests of America and the American people within the framework and under the authority of the Constitution of the United States. His responsibility isn’t to the world, or to his grand and totally unrealistic vision of how it should be. It is to America and Americans, period and every action he takes must be in their best interests first and foremost. If he continues to forget or ignore this he wil not get elected to a second term, simple as that.

Why do I say continue? Because his record in office has been disastrous for the country and he could not possibly run again on his achievements to date…by every social, economic and national security measure there is Americans are far worse off than they were since he won the 2008 election, in large part because he has seen himself as ‘President of the world’ instead of President of the United States. Among other things, the U.S. economy is on life support, there is a debt crisis of epic proportions, unemployment is at a very high level and shows no sign of shrinking, food and gasoline prices are going through the roof, Obamacare is a farce and national disgrace, American national security has been compromised and weakened everywhere, American credibility and respect for the United States has been significantly diminished, no one really trusts the U.S. anymore, vilification and anti-American sentiments are widespread and becoming endemic, imposition of Sharia law and an Islamic mindset is occurring in the United States, terrorist incidents in the U.S. are taking place on a more or less regular basis, government is becoming far more intrusive than it ever was, his policies and actions have brought the Middle East to the brink of (nuclear) war and seriously endangered Israel, America’s only true friend and ally in the region and there has been a steady erosion of the dignity of the office of President.

Among other things.

Just a reminder Barack. You’ve got just over seventeen months before the next election and these are the things Americans will think of when they vote.

No one’s will-didn’t you know that?, Re: PA on Congress speech: PM’s policies won’t bring peace, Jerusalem Post, May 24, 2011

Wednesday, May 25th, 2011

Prime Minister Netanyahu of Israel gave a speech to a joint session of the United States Congress yesterday and talked about how peace could be achieved between Israelis and Palestinians, about how Palestinians could attain statehood and about the sacrifices and concessions Israel was prepared to endure to make all of this a reality. He was given a four minute standing ovation before he began and was applauded 30 odd times during the course of his speech, many of these being accompanied by other ovations. It was an extremely warm reception by anyone’s standards and the enthusiastic response to the speech spoke to acceptance of its content and the strong and enduring bond between the U.S. and Israel, notwithstanding President Obama’s well known antipathy towards the Jewish State and his misguided attempts to curry favor with Palestinians and the Islamic world by bringing it to its knees. The initial and ongoing response was in fact an unmistakable bi-partisan reproach of Obama and his policies towards Israel and the Middle East in general and could not possibly be taken for anything else.

Naturally, the speech was rejected virtually instantaneously by the Palestinian Authority and the rest of the Islamic world. If I was Netanyahu I wouldn’t take it personally however. Nothing he or anyone else could have said or offered would have been acceptable to the PA or other Islamists, nothing at all. That is because they don’t want peace with Israel, they want to destroy it. That has been their single abiding message and goal all these many years and no Israeli action will change that, no matter how helpful, encouraging or benign. Peaceful coexistence in a state of their own next to Israel? That’s not their goal and never has been. Their goal has always been to wipe Israel off the map, to remove it from the face of the earth, nothing more and nothing less. No, Netanyahu shouldn’t take the Palestinian rejection personally at all because it has nothing to do with him and everything to do with the Palestinian’s hatred, bias, intransigence, stupidity, seventh century mindset, lack of foresight and vision and inability and unwillingness to raise themselves out of the mire they live in.

If I was Obama I’d take the reaction of the Congress very seriously indeed though…if I wanted to get elected to a second term that is and if I wanted to prevent another bloodbath in the Middle East, which is exactly where his policies are taking us.

President Obama not acting in America’s best interests, but Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu is, Re: Obama’s Mideast peace plan ‘not going to happen,’ says defiant Netanyahu, National Post, May 21, 2011

Monday, May 23rd, 2011

Some things are abundantly clear in the aftermath of President Obama’s speech on May 19 to the American people outlining his vision of the Middle East and his plan for peace between Israel and the Palestinians and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s response the next day.

It is clear for example that Obama’s vision is divorced from reality and is detrimental to the national security interests of the United States. He is looking at recent events in the Middle East (the so called Arab Spring, Palestinian attempts to form a ‘unity government’ and so on) through rose colored glasses and has no knowledge or understanding of the history of the region, the mentality of its people, the nature of Islam or the real animating factors behind the Arab Spring and Palestinian actions. He doesn’t understand that the national security of the United States is being threatened and eroded by his actions or lack of same and that his policies of appeasement and kowtowing to those who would do the U.S. great harm if not destroy it are placing America in mortal danger.

An American President has four basic, fundamental national security interests in the Middle East. These are 1) to unequivocally and unambiguously support and defend Israel because Israel is America’s only true friend and ally in the region, because the American military could not operate effectively if at all there when and if it had to without Israeli cooperation and assistance and becaue the American economy would be significantly damaged if Israel ceased to exist, 2) to keep the supply of oil flowing, 3) to keep friendly and mutually supportive relations with regimes in the region that help the U.S. meet its needs there, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain to cite but two examples and 4) to keep Islamists and Jihadists from taking power and/or externally using the power they already have in various countries because that would be disastrous for America and Israel and would lead straight to all out war, war which could easily turn nuclear when Iran develops and acquires nuclear weapons thanks to Obama doing absolutely nothing to keep them out of her hands or to Israelis using theirs as a last gasp effort to survive. All are intimately related and cannot happen on their own i.e. unless each of the others do too.

Obama’s vision and peace plan are completely antithetical to these four priorities and would ensure that they would not be achieved and that the opposite would happen in all four instances. They already have to one degree or another and major damages have occurred as a result. Netanyahu was right to stand up to Obama, to reject his peace plan and to school him in Middle East realities, not only for Israel’s sake but for America’s too. We can only hope that he will continue to have the courage, strength and political acumen to keep on doing so because Obama being Obama he will not change his course of action unless he is forced to and the future of the United States and Israel, not to mention the Middle East and the rest of the world, could well depend on it.

Netanyahu is trying to save Israel from Obama and in the process may wind up saving the U.S. and the rest of us from him as well. Now that’s ironic. Deserving of a Nobel Peace Prize I’d say, unlike Obama.

Osama’s targeted assassination, Re: Osama bin Laden killed by US forces, Al Jazeera English Website, May 2, 2011

Monday, May 2nd, 2011

Osama bin Laden was an evil, despicable, pathetic, unrepentant excuse of a human being who brought untold sorrow and grief to millions upon millions of people and who would have kept on doing so as long as he had a breath left in him. Assassinating him was entirely appropriate because of the depth of his depravity and because there was no other way to keep him from carrying on with his murderous, hateful, inhuman activities. No quarter can be given to those who think and act like him because they give no quarter themselves and never will.

Getting rid of him was a very good thing indeed. The United States and the West is in a war for survival with Islamists and the religion and ideology they operate under, Islam, and his assassination sends a very clear message to the humongous hordes out there who would destroy our civilization and way of life and force everyone to live under Islamic law. We aren’t Islamic and aren’t willing to live as you do and you attack us and try to conquer and change us at your peril, that’s the message.

Congratulations to the American military personnel who assassinated him, to President Obama for authorizing the assassination and to President Bush for enabling it. Unfortunately, we cannot relax our vigilance because the war is a long way from being over and there will be setbacks along the path to victory but your actions have made us safer and brought victory closer and for that we thank you.

Congratulations go to the Israelis too because their policy of targeted assassination has just been vindicated and legitimized as well.

Death and taxes intertwined, Re: Israel Moves Against Palestinian Unity Deal by Delaying Funds, International Herald Tribune/New York Times, May 1, 2011

Sunday, May 1st, 2011

Israel has announced that it will not transfer roughly $90 million in tax revenue it collected on behalf of the Palestinian Authority until the PA could guarantee that none of the money would go to Hamas to purchase weapons which would be used to murder and maim Israelis, to rain death and destruction on the country. The chances of this happening have been raised because the Palestinian Authority and Hamas have ‘reconciled’ after years of bitter, violent internecine fighting and are in the process of forming a ‘unity’ government, although serious cracks have already appeared and it is by no means certain that the ‘accord’ will last very long.

In any case, Hamas remains totally committed to destroying Israel and the Israelis are simply being prudent and protecting themselves in withholding the funds. If credible guarantees aren’t provided the funds won’t be turned over, nor should they be. On the other hand, if credible guarantees are provided they will be, but this is highly unlikely since the Palestinian Authority is very much the junior partner in the ‘reconciliation’ and is in no position to provide them because Hamas dominates the relationship and has made it clear that it will not change its attitude and behavior towards Israel one iota, ‘unity’ government or no ‘unity’ government.

In fact, the Palestinian Authority is going to have to change its slightly more moderate stance towards Israel to conform with Hamas if it wants to avoid being shunted aside or taken over.

In fact, Mahmoud Abbas, President of the Palestinian Authority, better watch his back and not challenge Hamas very much at all…Hamas has tried to assassinate him in the past and could very well try again if it thinks he is becoming obstreperous or is getting in its way.

Death and taxes are intertwined alright. You can be certain Hamas will see to that if it gets its hands on the money. $90 million can kill a lot of Israelis you know.

So why is Israel collecting taxes on behalf of the Palestinian Authority to begin with? Can’t it collect taxes on its own? If not why not? If not how can Palestinians possibly pronounce themselves ready for statehood as tax collecting is essential to the functioning of a modern state? What else can’t they do?

Good questions all.
