On this Remembrance Day free people everywhere should do more than resolve to thank, honor and support the courageous men and women who fought, suffered and died so that freedom could exist, should do more than actually thank, honor and support the courageous men and women who fought and suffered in the name of freedom who remain among us, should do more than simply remember them.
Free people everywhere should remember why they fought, suffered and died in the first place.
And then free people everywhere should resolve to defend and protect their freedom, should resolve to stand up and fight for it.
And then they should go out and do it.
Because make no mistake they will lose their freedom if they don’t.
Freedom is under attack everywhere in the free world.
Australia, Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, the Scandinavian Countries, Spain, the United States, everywhere.
Freedom has already been lost in a great many places.
If free people and free countries want to remain free they have to defend and protect their freedom, have to stand up and fight for it
That is one of the great lessons of history and it remains as true today as it ever was.
No, remembering the courageous men and women is not enough to maintain our freedom.
We have to have to defend and protect it, have to stand up and fight for it
If we want to keep it.
That is what our forbears would want us to do.
That is the best way to thank them and honor them.
Let’s hope we have the sense and the courage to do so.
Like they did.
God bless them all.
