Money or terror the only possible reasons, Re: Investigators convinced missing MH370 was hijacked, The Malaysian Times, March 15, 2014

In the end there are only four possible reasons for the disappearance of a Malaysian passenger jet last week on a routine flight from Malaysia to Beijing with 239 people on board.

The first is that some sort of catastrophic event occurred in mid-air that caused it to break up very quickly and that it crashed into the ocean as a result.

The second is that some sort of catastrophic event occurred in mid-air that caused everyone on board to die very quickly but that the plane nevertheless flew on its own for several hours before running out of fuel and crashing and disintegrating somewhere.

The third is that it was hijacked by a person or persons unknown who then forced the pilot to crash the plane killing everyone on board.

The fourth is that it was hijacked by a person or persons unknown for reasons which are as yet unknown and that it was flown to a secret location somewhere where it is sitting as we speak.

Forget the first three. All things considered, there is no way any of them could have happened without the world knowing by now, without the world at least discovering the wreckage by now.

That means that the plane was in fact hijacked by a person or persons unknown for reasons which are as yet unknown and that it was flown to a secret location somewhere where it is sitting as we speak.

That is the only plausible explanation. And yes, it is technically possible and not something that could only occur in the realm of science fiction. Whoever hijacked it didn’t even necessarily have to be on board. He or she…they…could have hacked into the plane’s computers and controlled it themselves.

So why would anyone do anything like that?

In the end there are only two possible reasons.

Money or terror.

If it was money the perpetrators will soon start demanding huge payments in return for releasing the passengers and/or the plane itself, threatening to murder the passengers and crew and destroy the plane if such payments aren’t made. It would in other words be the largest and most audacious act of piracy in history.

If it was terror everyone on board (except perhaps the hijackers) is already dead and the plane is being fitted out as we speak with some sort of weapon of mass destruction or being otherwise prepared to fly somewhere and cause millions of deaths. It would in other words be the largest and most audacious act of terrorism in history, the largest and most audacious act of mass murder in history, something that would make 9/11 pale by comparison.

Either way, we’ll have the answer soon.

Personally, I’m betting on terror being the reason.
