Obama is utterly contemptible, Re: The war Obama didn’t end, New York Post, August 12, 2014

President Obama spent years boasting that he was responsible for the full withdrawal of the American military from Iraq and for ending the war there.

That is indisputable.

As the New York Post article says;

A video produced by his 2012 presidential campaign was titled “Ending the War in Iraq: A Promise Kept.”

His Web site said in December 2011: “This month, President Obama is making good on his promise to bring the last American troops home in time for the holidays.”

“You know I say what I mean and I mean what I say,” he told crowds during his re-election campaign. “I said I’d end the war in Iraq. I ended it.”

That’s as definitive a statement of responsibility as you get.

A statement he made many, many times over the years.

Indeed, ending the war in Iraq and fully withdrawing American forces from there was cast as his signature foreign policy achievement and something he had promised to do since his 2008 campaign for the presidency.

Now that his policies and actions and assumptions in Iraq have proven to be horribly mistaken, now that Iraq is burning and imploding as a result, now that barbaric, savage atrocities are being committed against millions upon millions of people there by barbaric, savage Islamists acting in the name of Islam, now that ISIL controls much of the country and is on the advance everywhere, now that ISIL has proven to be a serious threat to the United States itself, now that his policies and actions and assumptions have been universally ridiculed and panned and now that the U.S. is re-engaging militarily Obama is doing what he always does in the face of his failure…re-writing and denying history, absolving himself of responsibility and blaming others for events instead of himself. He has done this many, many times, Iraq just being the latest example.

That characteristic is utterly contemptible and since it is a basic, fundamental part of his personality, of his being, it means that he is utterly contemptible too.

But then we didn’t need this latest example to know that since so much of what he has done as president has been utterly contemptible.

Obama not responsible for the full withdrawal of the American military from Iraq…bull.

Obama not responsible for his policies and actions and assumptions…bull.

Obama not responsible for the results of his policies and actions and assumptions…bull.

His track record speaks for itself and he is absolutely responsible for it.

As an American, as a decent, moral human being, I am more than saddened and sickened and angry.

I am disgusted.

You should be too.
