Free speech, Re: The Koran is not a ‘book of violence’, National Post, October 13, 2006

What Hamid Rizvi and others of his ilk do not understand is that it is completely irrelevant whether the Koran is a ‘book of violence’ or not. Free speech gives me the right to say that it is, or for that matter isn’t, if that is what I believe. Speech isn’t free at all if we can only say things that others agree with, even if some people think what we say is based on “ignorance” or are insulted.
